Narrating the CoH Beta Invasion

Narratives of the City of Heroes end-of-beta invasion. I love that the first account is narrated as fiction and the second is narrated as gameplay: notice the language differences.

The devs and community are all very invested in the generation and maintenance of lore for this game. Fun stuff.

My friend Kevin, who’s been on EverQuest since 1999 and has a slew of level 65 characters, is beginning to drift to new shores. We’ve both signed up for the EQ2 beta, but right now he’s on CoH and is loving it. So I’ve been entreated to go buy the retail box and get back onto the game. His argument: “It’ll be great; you can be my sidekick.”
